[She does appear to be a little sympathetic to that. This is a friend, after all, and an at times rather entertaining cat. There aren't too many fellow felines around here, part-time or otherwise.]

[just as much a declaration that kiera won't simply lie down and take it. they stare cy down, twitching their own head and legs perhaps in an effort to get her riled up and prone to making mistakes. they have no other way to gain the upper hand here, no magic and no extra strength, so their best effort is feinting to one direction before actually taking off from the ground in the opposite. whether or not it's enough to save their skin will be up to the feline.]

[Judging by the posturing as she crouches and the chattering that escapes her mouth, the attempt to rile her up is working. Unfortunately she remains far more focussed than she ordinarily would, her eyes fixated on Keira.

Her usual clumsiness has all but vanished as she makes her jump, leaping with her paws outstretched in the direction the bird makes off in.]
