[how interesting! a sheep-person with a functional eye on a staff. the grove sure is full of characters! kiera's smile doesn't falter as she takes it all in. they've met werewolves and fish-people back home, after all.]

I do. Not that I dislike when it's made by others, but I can control the exact flavor and how quickly it's frozen and aerated.

[assuming the staff does indeed function as pure vanilla's eyes, in full view of it, kiera waves their hand over a mixing bowl of nearly-formed ice cream. sure enough, the liquidy contents seem to mix with a controlled breeze of air carrying the tiniest crystals of ice. and given maybe another half minute of that, viola! solid ice cream with purple swirls from the fresh blackberry chunks throughout.]

[Oh!! Pure Vanilla is delighted to see elemental magic, and he watches with almost childlike glee. Especially as it stiffens the ice cream as it mixes.]

[it's actually pretty nice that something so simple to them is pleasing to someone else. of course, kiera already thinks they're hot shit, so it only stands to reason that they expect others to agree.

I had to hone them over time. Where I'm from, many people can learn at least a little magic with the proper discipline.

It is the same in my world, yet elemental magic such as ice is beyond our grasp for the most part. We find it far easier to use magic that is more in line with who we fundamentally are.

[He very carefully takes a little bit of the ice cream to taste it and immediately looks delighted.]

[it's clearly a rhetorical question. one that they don't seem to care whether or not it's appropriate -- they'll surely find out from pv's reaction. and of the few cookies they're familiar with, he seems quite forgiving.]

[ Congratulations, you made Pure Vanilla laugh while he had a mouthful of ice cream. He polite keeps it in his mouth, which results in a sort of half laugh half choking noise as he hastily swallows, gives himself brain freeze, then covers his mouth to laugh properly. ]

Ah, if only it worked that way, for indeed, most cookies are covered in icing! It makes up our hair and clothes.

[ Argh, his head hurts from the brain freeze, he will poke at his ice cream gently while waiting for that to subside. ]
